Some 'Splainin' To Do...

Just call me Lucy Ricardo...Because I got some splainin' to do...

 Where should I start? As you all know, back in November I decided to throw caution to the wind and start sharing my arts with the world.My plan was to share a new art everyday. And I did well for almost two whole months, and then the wheels kinda came off.

  I suppose what I need to 'splain is exactly how those wheels came to come off, huh?

  Well, the response to my blog was immediate and stratospheric. I went from not ever showing anyone my arts to EVERYONE wanting to see them! It was very exciting, and I kinda let it go to my head. It's not something I am proud of, but it is what it is, and now I must move on. In retrospect, I probably should have turned down the invitation from John  Mayer to spend some time at his beach house in Hawaii, but I'm not made of STONE! He just seemed like such a cool guy. And I'll tell you another thing, the fine females he always has around him are not too shabby either.
  
  But one day, I was walking on the beach with Kandeie, an aspiring actress and dancer, and the next thing I know, it's two months alter, I have a sore the size of a pog on my junk, and Kandeie is trying to get me to buy her a house!! I mean, how the heck does that happen? And Mayer just thought it was HILARIOUS!!

  Well, I called my oldest friend, Paticus from Sandwich Flats, and I asked him to come and get me the hell away from there. Being a dear friend, he flew right out. We hashed out what had happened between us(a story for another time-suffice it to say that it involves Kandeie and tequila and some rather unpleasent things erupting froth from my mouth), and he agreed to help me get cleaned up(i had been on a bit of a tequila/oxy/Twinkie bender) and get me back on track.

  And here I am. I am back in Buttonwillow, I have my smock and painter's beret on, and I am ready to start arting!

 So let's get back to it, shall we?

Let's Get This Out of The Way

  As you may have noticed, the last post, " Ghost Who Spilled Wine", was scheduled for Halloween, had a definite Halloween theme and yet, it appeared today, the day AFTER Halloween. And you might be saying: "Hey, Ian, what the heck, man? WHY is the Halloween post the day AFTER Halloween?"...And I will answer you thusly...First, please try and refrain from the potty talk, okay? I don't need people coming around here and throwing H-bombs, okay? Secondly, there was another incarnation of this blog, but it was set up for me by a dear friend, who was doing me a favor because I was a little timid about sharing my arts with the world, but he told me I had to go for it. And he was right. So, I did.

   And after a few days, I decided that it might be better if I set up the blog, and ran it myself. Well, my friend didn't like that idea too much, so in a fit of pique, he deleted the blog altogether, so I had to start from scratch this morning.

  We have worked things out, and we are friends, and he is still my biggest supporter and fan.

  And that's your answer. Luckily, I will be able to repost all of the arts that were previously posted, but I think I'll do them one day at a time...So hang loose.
